ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: This invention describes novel diamines of formu- lae: Image in which R is an alkyl radical having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The diamines of this invention are useful for the preparation of their corresponding diisocyanates for exam- ple, via phosgenation and subsequent thermal cleavage of the intermediately formed carbamic chloride. The diisocyanates are used for the preparation of plastics, preferably polyurethanes, and crop protection agents.
