Abstract of the Disclosure Novel 1-alkyl ergolinylthiourea derivatives of the general formula Image wherein R1 is C1-6 alkyl, R2 and R3 are C1-4 alkyl, R4 is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl and C9---C10 is a single bond or a double bond, and the acid addition salts thereof, with the provision that when R3 and R4 are,both ethyl, R1 ,and R2 are not methyl and pharmaceutically acceptalbe acid addition-salts thereof are provided; as well as a process for the preparation of these compounds. The compounds are useful as medicinal agents, e.g., for the treatment of mental depression.
