ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to novel 1-aryloxy-2-hydroxy-3- alkynylaminopropanes, the acid addition salts thereof and to processes for their preparation. The novel compounds show adrenolytic activity and may be of use in human medicine for the treatment or prophylaxis of diseases of coronary vessels and for the treatment of cardiac arrythmias, in particular tachycardia. The hypotensive properties of the compounds are also therapeutically interesting. Processes for the production of the novel compounds are described and examples of certain of the novel compounds are given. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the novel compounds are described and exemplified.
