ABSTRACT The invention relates to l-aryloxy-3-alkylamino- propan-2-ols of general formula I Image I (wherein R1 represents a cycloalkyl group with 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a phenyl group (which may optionally be substituted by one or more halogen atoms, lower alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkynyloxy, cycloalkyl, acyl, acyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxyalkyl or alkoxyalkvl groups, or the ring-forming groups (-CH=CH-)2 or -O-CH2-O- wlth the free valencies bonded in the o- position relative to one another), or an aryloxyalkyl group (which may optionally be substituted by one or more halogen atoms,lower alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, acyl, acyloxy or alkoxycarbonyl groups, or the ring- forming groups -(CH=CH)2- or-O-CH2-O- with the free valencies belng bonded in the o-position relative to one another), R2 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, an alkyl or alkoxy group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a ring-forming group -(CH=CH)2- or -(CH2)n- (n = an integer from 3 to 5) with the free valencies bonded in the o-position relative to one another, R represents a atraight-chained or branched alkyl group with 1 to 10 carbon atoms) and the acid addition salts thereof.
