SPECIFICATION FOR I-BEAM CONSTRUCTION AND PROCESS THEREFOR BY YOUNG J. PAIK ABSTRACT An I-beam has a pair of flanges separated by a web including corrugations extending transversely of the two flanges. Immediately adjacent each side of the web interconnecting the two flanges, there is provided a flat bandlike space free of corrugations. In manufacture, a flat, sheetlike web is welded to the flanges, after which the corrugations are formed in the web.
