Abstract of the Disclosure Novel 1-carbonyl-1-phenyl-2-azolylethanol-derivatives The invention relates to novel 1-carbonyl-1-phenyl-2-azolylethanol derivatives of the general formula I Image (I), wherein R1, R2 and R3 each independently are hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, CF3, unsubstituted or substituted phenyl or unsubstituted or substituted phenoxy, R4 is hydrogen, C1-C10alkyl, C3-C6cycloalkyl or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, X is -CH= or -N=, and R5 is hydrogen, C1-C12alkyl, C2-C4alkenyl, or unsubstituted or substituted benzyl, or an acid addition salt, a quaternary azolium salt or a metal complex thereof. The invention further relates to methods of preparing these compounds and to agrochemical compositions which contain them. Also described is a method of controlling phytopathogenic microorganisms and/or of regulating plant growth with the aid of these compounds.
