Abstract of the Disclosure The hydroformylation reaction product obtained by reacting polybutene having degree of polymerization greater than 6 with carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the presence of a cobalt catalyst at a temperature in the range of about 125°C to about 225°C and at a pressure of about 1000 to about 5000 psi, wherein the molar ratio of hydrogen to carbon monoxide is about 1 to 3:1.
