This invention relates to 1-phenyl-3-aryl-2-propyne-1- ones of the formula: Image wherein: R1, R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen; C1-C6 alkyl; C1-C6 alkoxy; halogen; -N(Y1)(Y2), wherein Y1 end Y2 are each independently hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl; or X Z-(Q)-(CH2)n-O-, wherein Q is phenyl or naphthyl, n=0 or 1, X= C1-C6 alkoxy or -N(Y1)(Y2), wherein Y1 and Y2 are as defined previously, and Z=0, 1 or 2 and wherein Ar is a radical of the formula: Image Image Image Image Image Image and the use of these compounds as calcium uptake inhibi- tors in leukocytes and thrombocytes, and pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds as active ingred- ients, and the process of their preparation.
