(ABSTRACT) SUMMARY OF THE DESCRIPTION The invention concerns 1-phenyl-N-/2-chlorethyl- carbamoyl/-7,8-dimethoxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro,-1H-3- benzazepins racemate and optically active isomers with formula 2 and method for their preparation. Image The compounds with formula 2 show high inhibiting effect on dopamine and noradrenaline uptake, and the most active is the right rotating isomer /+/-2. The racemic 2 possesses moderate untiulcer activity in experimental model of stress induced stomach ulcers in rats. The left rotating isomer /-/-2 shows direct cytostatic effect on tumour cells from ascite tumour of Erlich /ATE/ and leucosis L1210.
