Ortho-ethoxy and ortho-propoxy substituted benzenesulfonamides, such as 2-ethoxy-N-[[4- methoxy-6-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-1,3,5 triazin-2-yl]- aminocarboxyl]benzenesulfonamide and N-[[4-methoxy-6- (2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]aminocar- bonyl]-2-propoxybenzenesulfonamide, and their agriculturally suitable salts show preemergent and postemergent herbicidal utility in corn.
