[Object] To provide compositions which have a steroid C17,20 lyase inhibitory activity and are useful as preventives and/or remedies for tumors such as prostatism and mammary cancer. Compounds represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof have a steroid C17,20 lyase inhibitory activity and are useful as preventives and/or remedies for tumors such as prostatism and mammary cancer. In said formula R represents hydrogen or a protective group; R1 represents lower alkyl or cyclic hydrocarbyl; R2 represents optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heteroaryl; R3 represents optionally substituted hydrocarbyl, optionally substituted hydroxy, optionally substituted thiol, optionally substituted amino, acyl or halogeno; and n is an integer of from 0 to 4.

L'invention a pour objet de fournir des compositions présentant une activité inhibitrice de la C¿17,20?-lyase stéroïde et pouvant être utilisées à des fins prophylactiques ou thérapeutiques contre des tumeurs, telles que la tumeur de la prostate ou la tumeur mammaire.
