ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: By reacting a suitable oxirane with a suitable amine, 10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d]cycloheptadiene deriva- tives of general formula (I): Image (I) where R1 is hydrogen, C1-C6-alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C2-C6- alkynyl, C1-C6-hydroxyalkyl or C1-C4-alkoxy-C1-C4-alkyl and R2 is hydrogen, or R1 and R2, together with the nitrogen atom which connects them to one another, form a morpholine ring or a piperidine ring which may be substituted in the 4- position by hydroxyl and/or by unsubstituted or halogen- substituted phenyl, are produced. These substances, and their salts with physiologically tolerated acids, are useful for the treatment of disorders such as in arrhythmias therapy.
