The present invention relates to a synthetic, branched chain, oil soluble, fatty acid esters which, when preferably partially neutralized in situ, is revealed as a new water-in-oil emulsifier. Formulations are presented which demonstrate a method for using the disclosed emulsifier to prepare stable water-in-oil emulsions of varying polarity and viscosity for use in a variety of dermatological applications, and/or wherever emulsions according to the present invention may be used.
La présente invention concerne des esters d'acide gras, synthétiques, solubles dans l'huile, à chaînes ramifiées, qui, lorsqu'ils sont de préférence partiellement neutralisés in situ, constituent un nouvel émulsifiant de type eau dans l'huile. Les formulations de cette invention concernent par ailleurs un procédé d'utilisation de l'émulsifiant précité dans la préparation d'émulsions stables, de type eau dans l'huile de polarité et de viscosité variables, utilisés dans une multiplicité d'applications dermatologiques, et/ou d'autres émulsions préparées selon cette invention.
