Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed are novel 14,17.alpha.-etheno- and -ethanoestratrienes according to general Formula I Image (I), wherein X is a -CH2-CH2 or Image bridge, R1 is a hydrogen atom, a C1- to C15-acyl, benzoyl, C1- to C15-alkyl, C3- to C9-cycloalkyl or alkylcycloalkyl group, and R2 is the grouping or Image or Image wherein R3 and R4 independently of each other mean a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain or branched, optionally partially or completely fluorinated C1-C8-alkyl group, a process for their preparation, pharmaceutical preparations containing these compounds, as well as their use for the production of medicinal agents. The novel compounds exhibit strong antiestrogenic efficacy.
