The invention provides 15.beta.-substituted steroidal compounds having selective estrogen receptor activity according to Formula (I) wherein, R1 is H, C1-5 alkyl, C1-12 acyl, di-(C1-5 alkyl)aminocarbonyl, (C1- 5alkyl)oxycarbonyl or sulfamoyl, R2 is H, C1-3alkyl, C2-3alkenyl or C2- 3alkynyl, each of which may be optionally substituted with a halogen, R3 is C1- 2alkyl, ethenyl or ethynyl, each of which may be optionally substituted with a halogen, and R4 is H or C1-12 acyl.

L'invention concerne des composés stéroidaux substitués en 15ß ayant une activité récepteur sélectif des oestrogènes et ayant la formule (I) où R1 représente H, C1-5 alkyle, C1-12 acyle, di-(C1-5 alkyl)aminocarbonyle, (C1-5alkyl)oxycarbonyle ou sulfamoyle, R2 représente H, C1-3alkyle, C2-3alcényle ou C2-3alkynyle, chacun pouvant être éventuellement substitué par un halogène, R3 représente C1-2alkyle, éthényle ou éthynyle, chacun pouvant éventuellement être substitué par un halogène et R4 représente H ou C1-12 acyle.
