The invention relates to 17.beta.-allyloxy(thio)alkyl-androstane derivatives having general formula (I) wherein R1 is (H, OR), (H, OSO3H) or NOR; with R being H, (C1-6)alkyl or (C1-6)acyl; each of R2 and R3 is indepentently hydrogen or (C1-6)alkyl; n is 0, 1 or 2; X is O, S, S(O) or S(O)2; each of R4 and R5 is independently hydrogen or (C1-4)alkyl; each of R6, R7 and R8 is independently hydrogen, phenyl, halogen or (C1-4)alkyl, optionally substituted by hydroxy, (C1-4)alkoxy or halogen; or R7 and R8 together with the carbon atom to which they are bound form a (C3-6)cycloalkane ring; or R6 and R7 together with the carbon atoms to which they are bound form a (C5- 6)cycloalkene ring; and wherein the dotted lines indicate a .DELTA.7 or a .DELTA.8 double bond, or a pair of conjugated double bonds selected from .DELTA.7,14, .DELTA.8,14 and .DELTA.6,8(14); or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compounds of the invention have meiosis activating activity and can be used for the control of fertility.
L'invention concerne des dérivés de 17.beta.-allyloxy(thio)alkyl-androstane de la formule générale (I), dans laquelle R¿1? représente (H, OR), (H, OSO¿3?H) ou NOR, R désignant H, un alkyle en C¿1-6? ou un acyle en C¿1-6?; R¿2? et R¿3? représentent chacun indépendamment un hydrogène ou un alkyle en C¿1-6?; n désigne 0, 1 ou 2; X désigne O, S, S(O) ou S(O)¿2?; R¿4? et R¿5? représentent chacun indépendamment un hydrogène ou un alkyle en C¿1-4?; R¿6?, R¿7? et R¿8? représentent chacun indépendamment un hydrogène, un phényle, un halogène ou un alkyle en C¿1-4?, éventuellement substitué par un hydroxy, un alcoxy en C¿1-4? ou un halogène; ou R¿7? et R¿8? pris ensemble avec l'atome de carbone auquel ils sont liés forment un noyau cycloalcane en C¿3-6?; ou alors R¿6? et R¿7? pris ensemble avec les atomes de carbone auxquels ils sont liés forment un noyau cycloalcène en C¿5-6?; les lignes en pointillés indiquent une double liaison .DELTA.?7¿ ou .DELTA.?8¿ ou deux liaisons doubles conjuguées sélectionnées entre .DELTA.?7,14¿, .DELTA.?8,14¿ et .DELTA.?6,8(14)¿; ou alors l'invention concerne un sel de ces dérivés acceptable du point de vue pharmaceutique. Les composés de l'invention possèdent une activité d'activation de la méiose et peuvent s'utiliser pour la régulation de la fertilité.
