The invention concerns novel 17-difluoromethylene-oestratrienes of general formula (I), in which: R1 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C10 alkyl group; R5 is a methyl or ethyl group; R2 is a hydrogen atom or an .alpha.- or .beta.-position C1-C10 alkyl group; R3 is a hydrogen atom or C1-C10 alkyloxy group; R4 is an .alpha.- or .beta.-position hydrogen atom; A, B, C, D, E and G each stand for a hydrogen atom; and optionnaly at least one of the substituent pairs G and R2, R2 and R4, R4 and A, A and R3, B and D, D and E represent a double bond. The novel compounds have antioxidant and vasculoprotective properties not previously noted in steroids and are suitable for use in the production of pharmaceutical preparations.
La présente invention concerne de nouveaux 17-difluorométhylène-oestratienes de formule générale (I), où R?1¿ est un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle C¿1?-C¿10?; R?5¿ est un groupe méthyle ou éthyle; R?2¿ est un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle C¿1?-C¿10? en position .alpha. ou .beta.; R?3¿ est un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe alkyloxy C¿1?-C¿10? en position .alpha. ou .beta.; R?4¿ est un atome d'hydrogène en position .alpha. ou .beta.; A, B, C, D, E, et G représentent chacun un atome d'hydrogène; le cas échéant, au moins l'une des paires de substituants G et R?2¿, R?2¿ et R?4¿, R?4¿ et A, A et R?3¿, B et D, D et E représentent une double liaison. Les nouveaux composés ont des propriétés antioxydantes et vasculoprotectrices que l'on n'avait pas encore observées chez les stéroïdes et ils peuvent être utilisés pour la fabrication de préparations pharmaceutiques.
