Antagonists of human propro-tein convertase subtilisin-kexin type 9('PC-SK9') are disclosed. The disclosed antago-nists are effective in the inhibition of PCSK9 function and, accordingly, present desirable antagonists for use in the treatment of condi-tions associated with PCSK9 activity. The present invention also discloses nucleic acid encoding said antagonists, vectors, host cells, and compositions comprising the antagonists. Methods of making PCSK9-specific antago-nists as well as methods of using the antago-nists for inhibiting or antagonizing PCSK9 function are also disclosed and form impor-tant additional aspects of the present disclo-sure.
Linvention concerne des antagonistes de la proprotéine humaine convertase subtilisine-kexine de type 9 (« PCSK9 »). Les antagonistes révélés sont efficaces dans linhibition de la fonction de PCSK9 et, par conséquent, présentent des antagonistes souhaitables pour une utilisation dans le traitement des affections associées à une activité de PCSK9. La présente invention révèle également un acide nucléique codant lesdits antagonistes, des vecteurs, des cellules hôtes et des compositions comprenant les antagonistes.
