1-Oxo- and 1,3-dioxo-2-(2,6-dioxopiperidin-3-yl)isoindolines of formula (I) in which Y is oxygen or H2, one of R1 and R2 is halo, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, dialkylamino, cyano, or carbamoyl, the other of R1 and R2 is independently hydrogen, halo, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, dialkylamino, cyano, or carbamoyl and; R3 is hydrogen, alkyl, or benzyl, and the method of reducing levels of tumor necrosis factor .alpha. and other inflammatory cytokines in a mammal through the administration of such derivatives, and pharmaceutical compositions containing such derivatives.
L'invention a pour objet des 1-oxo- et 1,3-dioxo-2-(2,6-dioxopipéridin-3-yl)iso-indolines qui correspondent à la formule (I), dans laquelle Y est oxygène ou H¿2?; un des R?1¿ et R?2¿ est halo, alkyle, alcoxy, alkylamino, dialkylamino, cyano ou carbamoyle; l'autre des R?1¿ et R?2¿ est indépendamment hydrogène, halo, alkyle, alcoxy, alkylamino, dialkylamino, cyano ou carbamoyle et; R?3¿ est hydrogène, alkyle ou benzyle.
