ABSTRACT The invention is concerned with novel 2,3-dihydro- indene derivatives having the general formula: Image (I) wherein R1 and R2 each represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, nitro group, lower alkyl group or lower alkyloxy group with the proviso that R1 and R2 cannot simultaneously represent a hydrogen atom, and n is 2, 3 or 4. The deriva- tives of the formula (I) have remarquable antiinflammatory properties.
