ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE New herbicidally active 2,4-diamino pyrimidines of the formula Image wherein R1 is hydrogen or halogen, R2 is an optionally halogen- substituted C1-C6-alkyl or is halogen or C1-C6-alkoxy; R3 is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl Y is oxygen or sulfur; and Z is a branched or unbranched C2-C10-alkylene. The new compounds can be employed as or in weedkillers.
