ABSTRACT This invention relates to new 2-alkoxyphenyl- imidazo[4,5-b]pyridines which possess interesting pharmacological properties and in particular a superior hypertensive and/or positive inotropic activity. Processes for the preparation of these compounds are described and exemplified. Examples of pharmaceutical compositions containing the new compounds are also given.
