ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a chemical product of the following general formula Image wherein R is an amino group, mono or bi-hydroxyalkyl substituted, or a thio group, mono hydroxyalkyl substituted, in which one or more of the available -OH groups have been esterified with acids containing 2 to 18 carbon atoms. Furthermore, the present inven- tion is directed to a process for the preparation of the above products, which comprises reacting, as starting compound, a corresponding N-hydroxyalkyl substituted compound at ambient temperature in a suitable solvent with the acid chloride or the anhydride of the acid of which it is required to obtain the ester, then separating and purifying the compound thus obtained. The products according to the invention may be used in the pharma- ceutical industry as anti-inflamatory compounds, or as inter- mediates in organic synthesis.
