PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention a pour objet les dérivés de l'aminométhyl-2 benzimidazole répondant à la formule générale: Image (I) dans laquelle Ar représente un noyau phényl éventuellement substitué par au moins un atome d'halogène ou par au moins un radical alkyl contenant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone ou par au moins un groupement alcoxy comportant au plus 4 atomes de carbone, et R1 et R2 désignant chacun un radical alkyl comprenant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone ou forment, conjointement avec l'atome d'a- zote auquel ils sont liés, un radical hétérocyclique choisi parmi les radicaux pipéridino, pyrrolidino, morpholino et hexa- méthylinimino. Ces nouveaux dérivés possèdent des propriétés analgésiques antihypertensives, antisécrétoires, gastriques, antiinflammatoires, antibronchoconstrictrices et anticholinergi- ques, spasmolytiques, sédatives, antiulcéreuses, vasodilatatrices, stimulantes du système nerveux central, antiarythmique, diuréti- ques et antihistaminiques.
