ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: 2-(N-aryl-N-acyl)-aminopropanal-acetals of the general formula I Image where X1, X2 and X3 independently of one another are oxygen or sulfur, Y 19 oxygen, sulfur or NR7, n is O or l, R1 is C1-C4-alkyl, R2 15 hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4-alkyl or C1-C4- alkoxy, R3 is hydrogen, halogen or C1-C4-alkyl, R4 and R5 independently of one another are unsubstituted or substituted alkyl or arylalkyl or together are alkylene and form part of a 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may or may not be substituted by alkyl or aryl, R6 is unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroaryl or azolylalkyl, with the exception of chloromethyl and of acetylmethyl, and, if n is 1, R6 may also be unsubstituted or substi- tuted alkynyl, aryl, arylalkyl or heteroarylalkyl, and R7 is hydrogen, alkyl or alkoxy, fungicides containing these compounds, processes for their preparation, and their use.
