- 1 - Abstract: The invention provides 2-anilino-1,6-dihydro-6-oxo-5- pyrimidinecarboxylic acid derivatives of the formula: Image (I) wherein R1 and R2 may be the same or different and each represents hydrogen, an alkoxy, a tetrahydrofuryl- alkoxy, an alkyl, an alkoxycarbonyl, a halogen, a dialkyl- amino, a hydroxy, a trifluoromethyl, or a nitro group, and R3 is hydrogen or an alkyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. These compounds have good anti- allergic activities and are useful in particular for the prophylaxis and treatment of allergic asthma. The inven- tion also provides processes for the preparation of these compounds and antiallergic compositions containing these compounds as the active ingredient.
