Abstract This invention relates to 2-substituted-3H, 7H- quino[8,1-cd][1,5]benzoxazepin-3-one compounds of the formula I Image or II Image wherein Z is hydrogen, halo, trifluoromethyl, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, di(lower alkyl)amino or di(lower alkyl)amino- lower alkoxy, X and Y are hydrogen, chloro, bromo, trifluoro- methyl, di(lower alkyl)sulfonamido, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, provided that at least one of X and Y is hydrogen and n is 1 to 3 when Z is lower alkoxy but otherwise n is 1. The compounds of Formula II are useful in the treatment of inflammation.
