Novel 2-cyano-3-phenyl-4-nitrobutenamines ABSTRACT There are disclosed novel compounds of the formula (II) Image (II), wherein R is halogen, C1-C6-alkyl or C1-C6-haloalkyl and n is 0,1 or 2 and wherein R1 and R2 independently of one another are each C1-C4- alkyl, preferably methyl, or together with the adjacent nitrogen atom are pyrrolidinyl or piperidinyl, or with an additional oxygen atom are morpholinyl. The compounds are useful as intermediates for the synthesis of novel 3-cyano-4-phenyl-pyrroline derivatives having microbiocidal activity.
