ABSTRACT NEW 2-CYANOBENZIMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVES, THEIR PREPARATION AND THEIR USE AS FUNGICIDES AND ARCARICIDES The invention relates to 2-cyanobenzimidazole derivatives of the formula: Image wherein: n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, R is halogen, optionally halogen-substituted lower alkyl or alkylthio; lower alkoxy optionally substituted by one or more halogens or by the phenyl radical; lower alkenyl lower alkynyl; amino optionally substituted by one or two alkyls; NO2-; CN-; NCO-; NCS-; SCN-; lower alkylsulphonyl- sulphamoyl optionally substituted by one or two alkyls; lower alkylsulphinyl; optionally halogen substituted acyl; or alkoxycarbonyl, and R' is optionally halogen-substituted lower alkyl; cycloalkyl optionally substituted by one or more halogens; amino optionally substituted by one or two optionally substituted alkyl radicals, or a nitrogen atom substituted by two radicals forming an optionally substituted heterocyclic ring with the nitrogen atom, the heterocyclic ring containing from 4 to 6 ring members and from 1 to 3 hetero-atoms in the ring, which can be used in agriculture, in particular for combating phytopathogenic fungi and for combating mites.
