ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to novel derivatives of 6,7-benzomorphane of formula: Image (I) (wherein R1 represents a methyl, ethyl or propyl group; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl or ethyl group) and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. These compounds have interesting pharmacological properties and, in particular, they exhibit activity on the central nervous system and have analgesic and morphine-antagonistic properties. Processes for the preparation of the novel compounds are desribed and exemplified and ex- amples of pharmaceutical compositions containing the novel compounds are given.
