2-mercapto-benzoxazole derivatives, having formula (I): wherein: R, R1, R2 and R3, being the same or different, are each H, or a straight or branched alkyl, alkoxyl or hydroxalkyl group with up to 12 carbon atoms; and M is H, Na, R, Li, Cs or NH4; are employed as collectors for the selective flotation of sulphide ores to separate mineral salts containing copper, zinc and silver.

Dérivés de 2-mercapto-benzoxazole, répondant à la formule: dans laquelle: R, R1, R2 et R3 sont identiques ou différents, et représentent chacun H, ou un groupe alkyle, alcoxyle ou hydroxalkyle non ramifié ou ramifié et contenant jusqu'à 12 atomes de carbone; et M représente h, Na, R, Li, Cs ou Nh4. Ces dérivés sont utilisés comme collecteurs pour la flottation sélective des minerais de sulfure et pour séparer des sels minéraux contenant du cuivre, du zinc et de l'argent.
