The present invention concerns novel (2--morpholinylmethyl)benzamide derivatives having formula (I), the N-oxide forms, the pharmaceutically acceptable addition salts and the stereochemically isomeric forms thereof, wherein R1 is C1-6alkyl, C2-6alkenyl or C2-6alkynyl; R2 is hydrogen, halo or C1-6alkylsulfonylamino; R3 is hydrogen or C1-6alkyI; L is a radical of formula R4-C(=O)-Alk- (a); R5-C(=O)-N(R6)-Alk- (b); or R7-C(-O)-O-Alk- (c); wherein each Alk is independently C1-12alkanediyl; R4 is hydrogen, hydroxy, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkyloxy, amino, mono- or di(C1-6alkyl)amino or an optionally substituted heterocyclic ring; R5 and R7 each independently are hydrogen, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkyloxy, amino, mono- or di(C1-6alkyl)amino or an optionally substituted heterocyclic ring; R6 is hydrogen or C1-6alkyl; and aryl is phenyl or phenyl substituted with 1, 2 or 3 substituents selected from halo, C1-6alkyl or C1-6alkyloxy. It further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising them, processes for preparing said compounds and compositions, and the use thereof as a medicine, in particular in the conditions involving a decreased gastric emptying.

Nouveaux dérivés de (2-morpholinylméthyl)benzamide de formule (I), formes N-oxydes, sels d'addition pharmaceutiquement acceptables et formes stéréochimiquement isomères desdits dérivés. Dans ladite formule, R<1> est alkyle C1-6, alcényle C2-6 ou alcynyle C2-6; R<2> est hydrogène, halo ou alkylsulfonylamino C1-6; R<3> est hydrogène ou alkyle C1-6; L est un radical de formule R<4>-C(=O)-Alk- (a), R<5>-C(=O)-N(R<6>)-Alk- (b), ou R<7>-C(=O)-O-Alk- (c), chaque Alk étant indépendamment alcanediyle C1-12; R<4> est hydrogène, hydroxy, alkyle C1-6, alkyloxy C1-6, amino, mono- ou di(alkyle C1-6)amino ou un hétérocycle éventuellement substitué; R<5> et R<7> sont chacun indépendamment hydrogène, alkyle C1-6, alkyloxy C1-6, amino, mono- ou di(alkyle C1-6)amino ou un hétérocycle éventuellement substitué; R<6> est hydrogène ou alkyle C1-6; et aryle est phényle ou phényle substitué par 1, 2 ou 3 substituants choisis parmi halo, alkyle C1-6 ou alkyloxy C1-6. La présente invention concerne en outre des compositions pharmaceutiques comportant lesdits dérivés, des procédés de préparation desdits composés et compositions et leur utilisation en tant que médicaments, en particulier dans des état pathologiques impliquant une baisse de la vidange gastrique.
