Abstract of the Disclosure The application relates to certain new 2-substituted fluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazoles and to their use as fungi- cides and insecticides. The application also relates to a process for the of the compounds, in which as an example a fluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole is reacted with a and, if required, the resultant 2-substituted 5-trifluoro- methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole is reacted with an oxidising agent. The active compounds have a broad spectrum of action and can be employed against parasitic fungi and bacteria in the field of plant protection.
