Abstract of the Disclosure 2-Substituted-9-phenyl-2,3,4,4a,9,9a-hexahydro- 1H-indeno[2,1-c]pyridines having anti-arrhythmic activity are described herein. The subject compounds can be pre- pared by reduction of the corresponding 2-substituted-9- phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indeno[2,1-c]pyridines. The compounds additionally display antibacterial activity.
