Abstract of the Disclosure Procedures are described for the production of novel 2-thiol-4,5-diphenyloxazole 5-derivatives of the formula: Image (I) wherein m is 0, 1 or 2, n is 0 or 1 and R represents a hydroxy, alkoxy amino, alkylamino, heterocyclic amino, aminoalkoxy, alkylaminoalkoxy, or heterocyclic aminoalkoxy radical wherein the alkyl chains are of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and the hetero- cyclic amino rings have 5 or 6 ring members and are attached via the nitrogen atom; and pharmaceutically acceptable addition salts thereof. These are useful for inhibiting platelet aggregation in blood.
