Abstract New 3,11-dihydro-6H-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazolo[4',3':5,6]- pyrido[4,3-d]pyrimidin-6-one and new derivatives thereof, use- ful as antiinflammatory agents, have the general formula Image wherein R1 and R3 each is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl or phenyl-lower alkylene; R2, R4 and R6 each is hydrogen or lower alkyl; R5 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl-lower alkylene, ben- zoyl, substituted benzoyl wherein the phenyl substituent is halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, lower alkanoyl, lower alkoxy-lower alkylene, lower alkylthio-lower alkylene, amino- lower alkylene or Image alkylene wherein R7 and R8 each is lower alkyl or join in forming piperidine, morpholine, thia- morpholine or piperazine; and acid addition salts thereof.
