ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE 3-(2,2,2-trisubstituted hydrazinium) propionates have the following general formula: Image wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each alkyl with 1 to 16 carbon atoms, lower alkyl substituted by hydroxy or 2-(1,1-di- methyl-2'-carboxylatoethylhydrazin-1'-iumethyl, phenyl, naphthyl, phenyl or naphthyl lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or lower alkynyl; n is 0 to 2, except for compounds where R1, R2 and R3 are methyl. The compounds of the present invention possess both hypotensive and antiarrhythmic activity and are useful in medicine.
