ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel blowing agents are disclosed comprising 3,3'-carbonylbis (organo carbazates). The organo group may be alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl moieties. In the preferred embodiment the organo group is an alkyl group selected from the group consisting of methyl, isopropyl, secondary butyl or tertiary butyl. The blowing agents find utility in the preparation of expanded organoplastic mater- ials such as rubbers, thermosetting resins and thermoplastic resins.
