This invention relates to 3-aryl-2-isoxazoline compounds which are selective inhibitors of phosphodiesterase type IV (PDEIV). The 3-aryl-2-isoxazolines are useful in the treatment of AIDS, asthma, arthritis, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, psoriasis, allergic rhinitis, dermatitis, shock, atopic dermatitis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. This invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions useful therefor.

La présente invention se rapporte à des composés 3-aryl-2-isoxazolines qui sont des inhibiteurs sélectifs de la phosphodiestérase de type IV (PDE¿IV?) et sont utiles dans le traitement du SIDA, de l'asthme, de l'arthrite, de la bronchite, de la broncho-pneumopathie chronique obstructive, du psoriasis, de la rhinite allergique, des dermatites, du choc septique, de l'eczéma constitutionnel, de l'arthrite rhumatoïde et de l'arthrose.
