In the games and recreation field, the sliding block puzzle challenges the player to slide flat pieces along certain routes to establish a certain end- configuration. In this invention, the usually flat puzzle pieces are replaced by 3-dimensional pieces that can slide against each other so that each puzzle piece is not limited to 2- dimensional routes. The 3-dimensional sliding puzzle overcomes the limitation of having only one end-configuration since any of the 6 faces of each cubic puzzle piece can be utilized.
