Compounds according to general formula (1) and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are new. The compounds are inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase IV or prodrugs thereof, and are useful in the treatment of, inter alia type 2 diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance. In the general formula A is F or H, one of R1A and R1B is H or CN and the other H, R2 is H, alkyl, aralkyl or R5, R3 is H or a substituted aminoalkyl group and R4 is H or acyl.

Les composés représentés par la formule générale (1) et leurs sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables sont nouveaux. Ces composés constituent des inhibiteurs de la dipeptidyle-peptidase IV ou de promédicaments de cette enzyme, et ils sont utiles dans le traitement notamment du diabète non insulino-dépendant et de l'intolérance au glucose. Dans cette formule générale, A représente F ou H, l'un des éléments R?1A¿ et R?1B¿ représente H ou CN et l'autre représente H, R?2¿ représente H, alkyle, aralkyle ou R?5¿, R?3¿ représente H ou un groupe aminoalkyle substitué et R?4¿ représente H ou acyle.
