Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on fait réagir l'acide 3-hydroxybuta- noïque avec une base organique azotée tel qu'une amine, de préférence un acide aminé d'origine naturelle tel que l'ar- ginine. L' invention concerne également les sels obtenus par ce procédé. Ces sels sont utilisables. notamment à titre de principe actif dans des compositions pharmaceutique, pour le traitement prophylactique et curatif des cardiomyopathies d'origine non-ischémique et ischémique.
