ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Compounds of formula (I): Image (I) [in which R1 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, optionally substituted benzyl or optionally substituted phenyl; R2 is hydrogen, alkyl, optionally substituted phenyl, or a heterocycle having from 5 to 7 ring atoms; or R1 and R2, together with the carbons to which they are attached, form an optionally substituted; hydrocarbon ring fused to the isoxazole ring; -NR3R4 represents an alicyclic amino group; and A is optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted benzyl, alkyl, alkoxy, optionally substituted benzyloxy, or optionally substituted phenoxy; and acid addition salts thereof] have valuable activity for the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders and for use as centrally acting muscle relaxants.
