- 1 - Abstract: The present invention is directed to a novel herbicidal compound of the formula: Image ( I ) in which R is OH, C1-C3 alkoxy or R3-?-R4 Rf is C1-C3 perfluoroalkyl; R1 is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl; R2 is hydrogen or C1-C3 alkyl; n is an integer of 0 to 2; R3 is hydrogen or C1-C3 alkyl; R4 is C1-C6 alkyl, optionally substituted phenylalkyl where alkyl contains 1 to 3 carbons or optionally substituted phenyl; or R3 and R4 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a cyclic amino group; or a salt thereof. The inven- tion is also directed to a process for preparing the compound of formula (I) and a herbicide containing the compound of formula (I).
