These dihydrobenz[c]acridine carboxylic acid derivatives have the formula: Image (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, where R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are as defined in the specification. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions of said compounds. In addition, processes for the preparation of these compounds are disclosed.
