An apparatus and method for recording an image on the surface of a 3D object (2) uses a laser projector (1) that scans a light beam over the surface in an image pattern. The projector operates in a template imaging mode and an image recording mode where the beam scans at a speed that in a single pass/scan mode is typically four to five orders of magnitude slower than in the template imaging mode. A layer of a photosensitive material (25) is applied to the surface (9) of the object either partially or fully. Projection in the template imaging mode can guide the applying. The layer is substantially insensitive to ambient light for at least a period of time necessary to perform a desired processing step on the object. The layer has a maximum spectral sensitivity in the vicinity of the wavelength of the laser light beam. In one or multiple passes of the beam over the image pattern operating in the image record mode, the accumulated light energy dose density is sufficient to react the material and record the image.
L'invention se rapporte à un appareil et un procédé d'enregistrement d'une image sur la surface d'un objet 3D au moyen d'un projecteur laser qui balaye un faisceau de lumière sur la surface dans un motif d'image. Le projecteur fonctionne dans un mode d'imagerie de modèle et dans un mode d'enregistrement d'image, le faisceau effectuant un balayage à une vitesse qui, dans un mode de passage/balayage unique, est généralement 4 à 5 fois plus lente que dans le mode d'imagerie de modèle. Une couche d'un matériau photosensible est appliquée sur la surface de l'objet soit en partie soit entièrement. La projection en mode d'imagerie de modèle peut guider l'application. La couche est presque insensible à la lumière ambiante pendant au moins une durée nécessaire pour effectuer une étape de traitement désirée sur l'objet. La couche possède une sensibilité spectrale maximale à proximité de la longueur d'ondes du faisceau de lumière laser. Dans un ou plusieurs passages du faisceau sur le motif d'image fonctionnant en mode d'enregistrement d'image, la densité de dose d'énergie de lumière accumulée est suffisante pour faire réagir le matériau et enregistrer l'image.
