Abstract of the Disclosure 4-{[4-(Diphenylmethyl)-1-piperidinyl]methyl}- benzenamines of the formula Image wherein R represents hydrogen, an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 7 carbon atoms or an alkanoyl radical containing from 2 to 7 carbon atoms, and R' represents hydrogen or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 7 carbon atoms are herein described, These compounds are useful by reason of their vasodilating and hypotensive activity.
