There are disclosed compounds having the formula (see formula I) where X as hydrogen, loweralkyl, loweralkoxy, halogen or trifluoromethyl, and R when present is hydrogen, loweralkyl, allyl, arylloweralkyl, (see formula II) wherein R1 is loweralkyl, -CH2C=CH, (see formula III) (see formula IV) n being 2, 3 or 4 and R2 and R3 being independently loweralkyl, or -2- the group (see formula V) taken as a whole constituting (see formula VI) which compounds are useful as analgesic agents and also for the treatment of various memory dysfunctions characterized by a decreased cholinergic function such as Alzheimer's disease.
