The invention concerns 4-acylamino piperidin-N-oxyls of the formula: A1B1 wherein A1 stands for hydrogen or an organic group and B1 stands for a group of formula (IIa) in which the substituents have the following meanings: R1-R4 are C1-C4 alkyl (R1 and R2 and R3 and R4 can be bound to a 5- or 6-member ring); R5 is H or C1-C4 alkyl; and R6 is H or C1-C18 alkyl. The compounds in question serve to stabilise organic substances against the harmful effects of radicals, especially in the distillation of radically polymerising monomers such as styrene.

La présente invention concerne des 4-acylaminopipéridin-N-oxyles correspondant à la formule: A?1¿B?1¿, dans laquelle A?1¿ représente hydrogène ou un résidu organique et B?1¿ représente un résidu correspondant à la formule (IIa), dans laquelle les substituants ont la notation suivante: R?1¿-R?4¿ représentent C¿1?-C¿4?-alkyle, R?1¿ et R?2¿ ainsi que R?3¿ et R?4¿ pouvant être liés à un cycle à cinq ou six chaînons; R?5¿ représente H ou C¿1?-C¿4?-alkyle et R?6¿ représente C¿1?-C¿18?-alkyle. Ces composés servent à stabiliser les matières organiques contre l'action nuisible de radicaux, en particulier lors de la distillation de monomères à polymérisation radicalaire, notamment le styrène.
