4-ALKOXY-3-PYRROLIN-2-ON-1-YL ACETIC ACID ALKYL ESTERS AND THEIR PRODUCTION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel 4-alkoxy-3-pyrrolin-2-on-1-yl acetic acid alkyl esters of the formula: Image wherein R1 is (C1-C2)-alkyl and R2 is (C1-C4)-alkyl or benzyl, are disclosed. These compounds are useful as inter- mediate products for the production of cerebrally-active pharmaceutical products. An advantageous process for the production of the new intermediate products is also described.
